The Lincoln County Highway Department is responsible for in excess of 480 miles of road—330 miles of gravel road, and 150 miles of paved road. The Highway Department is also responsible for 106 bridges and 32 low water crossings throughout Lincoln County. Routine and preventative maintenance includes applying gravel to rural roads, asphalt and concrete patching and sealing, roadside ditching, vegetation control, and bridge maintenance and repair. Traffic services provided include street name signing, regulatory signing, and snow and ice control. The Highway Department is responsible for initiating, monitoring, and completing capital improvement projects related to Lincoln County’s transportation network.
